Our annual Waldorf Faire & Artisan Market is a festive, family-oriented event—just in time to kick-off the holiday season! This is a special day for our community, and serves as both a fundraiser and a celebration, complete with a fabulous selection of over forty local artisans alongside heartwarming children's crafts and activities. Wholesome foods, desserts, and baked treats are available for purchase in our café. Our Pixie Hut Store & Books will offer Waldorf inspired toys, crafting supplies, and a variety of parenting and children’s books.

Invite the whole family - plus your friends, and neighbours! It’s a great way to spend the day together!

Admission to the Faire for adults (including all volunteers) is $2. 
Children under 15 are free.

ACTIVITIES

Story Garden (4 TIX) enjoy a family-friendly short story or puppet play

Candle Decorating (6 TIX) design your own candle using modelling beeswax in a variety of colours

Popcorn (4 TIX) need we say more 

Fireside Moments & Hockey (outside) - warm up with a hot chocolate ( 4 TIX) or gourmet cocoa (8 TIX)     

Nature Garden (6 TIX) craft a beautiful centrepiece from natural materials

Wishing Well (4 TIX) a winter wonderland with a special treasure to be discovered

Apple Rings (4 TIX) fun and edible!

Toadstool Table - be amazed by our student artisans

Magic Cookie House (5 TIX) be transported into a world of cookies where the hardest part is choosing just one 

Children-Only Store (2 TO 15 TIX) where children can shop from a selection of handmade items for themselves and others

Artisan Market

Our 2025 Artisan Market is now full. If you wish to be informed about next year’s market, please send us an email at waldorffaire@calgarywaldorf.org.

Our goal for the Artisan Market is to provide our families and friends with a place to acquire original art and quality handmade items and gifts. We also want to offer new and local artisans the opportunity to showcase and sell their works of art.

In order to ensure the integrity and originality of the Waldorf Faire each artisan must exhibit the following qualities:

· Work is original and is made by the artisan who is applying (no imported or mass-produced products)

· Work is of the highest quality and presented in an appealing way

· Work is unique, not readily available in Calgary and contributes to the overall exhibition balance

· For returning artisans, work must evolve and change

Each year we carefully accept artisans based on the criteria above and feel of the market. We place limits within the different categories of vendors accepted to ensure variety and avoid repetition.
